Chris Bales, Esq., CFP®, CDFP® has a unique skill set having graduated from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville with his undergraduate degree in political science, and receiving his J.D. from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law while holding his Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Divorce Financial Analysts® certifications and being a trained Rule 31 Mediator. 

His diversified career path has prepared him to focus on his client’s legal circumstances while providing meaningful analysis and professional consultation for an array of personal matters. 

Mr. Bales’ goal is to reach a reasonable, timely solution through mediations and negotiations so that his clients are able to move forward with their future. 

Chris Bales, Esq., CFP®, CDFA®, focuses on cases in many civil practice areas including marital and family law (divorce, pre & postnuptial agreements, supportive relationships, alimony, equitable distribution, child support, and timesharing); guardianships; probate; and estate planning: wills, trusts, and power of attorney.

Mr. Bales grew up in Memphis, TN. He is licensed to practice law in Alabama, and South Carolina and permitted to practice in Tennessee pending admission under Tenn. Sup. Ct. Rule 7 section 10.07.   

When he is not advocating for his clients, he enjoys SEC sporting events, boating, scuba diving, running, and playing with his two Jack Russell Terriers.
